Is there a long term lease ? There is no long term lease, only month to month payments.
have to provide my own lock? Locks will be provided to renters by Sango Storage.
When can I move in? A gate key will be given to the renter at time of rental agreement. Thereafter the renter is able to move in 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
How much notice do I need to give when moving out? Renters should give 30 days prior notice.
Are there items I am not able to store? Renters are asked to not store items such as : Liquids, Explosives, Perishables, Combustibles, Toxins, Controlled Substances, Hazmat Materials, Live Animals, Corrosive Materials, Etc.
What forms of payment do you accept? Renters can make payments with: Cash, Credit Card, Money Order, & Check.
Storage Tips:
1.When moving into your unit keep an isle in the center to easily access all items without having to move everything out of the unit .
2. Use breathable materials such as cardboard to store your items. Plastic bags and airtight containers lock in moisture and can cause damage to your items.
3. Use more vertical space if possible by stacking items that aren’t easily crushed or damaged. This allows for more Floor space for larger items and easier access to all items.
4. When storing mattresses use a cover or 2 fitted sheets to protect the surface. Also store the mattress on its side, without leaning against walls or other items. Storing mattresses in the proper position prevents lumps and creases.
5. Be mindful to not store items that are climate sensitive. Electronic items can be damaged by fluctuating temperatures. If you do store electronic items, it is suggested to let the item adjust to the temperature of the home for 48 hours before use to prevent damage.
6. When storing gas-powered machines be sure to either drain all the gasoline to prevent moisture developing in the tank
7. Dryer sheets make an excellent insect repellent and are not harmful to most items being stored. To help protect your items you can put dryer sheets into boxes to keep insects away. Dryer sheets will also help keep your items smelling fresh.
8. When packing your items it is helpful to keep an inventory by numbering the boxes. Keeping an inventory list of what is in each box number can help you easily access the item you are looking for in your storage unit.
9. Don’t store anything of great value, Such as family heirlooms or expensive items that you can’t afford to lose or cannot be replaced if damaged.
10. Freezers and Refrigerators should be stored with the door propped partially open to prevent mildew. 11. Washing Machines and Dishwashers should be drained of all water to prevent leakage that may damage your belongings.
12. Use old sheets to protect your larger upholstered items from dust such as couches and recliner chairs.
13. It can be helpful to store items on pallets to prevent mildew and pests from damaging your items.
14. Seal all your cardboard boxes with packing tape to prevent dust. It can be helpful to keep a spare roll of Packing tape in your unit to re-seal boxes if you only need to access one item in box.
15. Placing Charcoal Briquettes in a bucket in your Storage unit is an inexpensive way to help prevent moisture in the air from damaging your belongings. Charcoal briquettes should be replaced once a month to prevent moisture. Be sure to keep the charcoal in a bucket and at a safe distance from and items that can be stained.
